The Department inspects and permits all organized camps and campgrounds and inspects recreational areas (parks) to ensure that they are constructed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the approved Camps and Campgrounds Regulations and to protect public health and safety.
Please submit your application (SA-60) and fee for your camp/campground facility upon receipt. Whenever a camp or campground is constructed, remodeled or expanded, properly prepared plans and specifications, prepared by an approved person as required in the Camp/Campground Regulations, must be submitted along with the application for plan review (SA-26) and application fee. Complaints regarding the Recreation Area Sanitation Program may be submitted either written (form SA-2) or by telephone. Telephone complaints should be made to the nearest District Office.
