Local Food Resources and Services

Bucks County Opportunity Council Food Program is Bucks County's lead food agency for families in need. Support comes from public and private funds, food drives, gleaning from local grocery stores and farms, and more. The network includes over 60 providers focused on meeting the food and nutrition needs of low-income households in Bucks County and is committed to a set of operating principles that ensure quality service and accountability.

Services offered by BCOC include the Senior Food Box Program Emergency Food Delivery, and Fresh Connecta free farmers' market offering fresh, healthy food to our hungry neighbors in Bucks County. It returns to the same location on the same day at the same time each week, providing reliable and needed food to the 44,000 Bucks County residents facing hunger, 34% of whom are children. Fresh Connect is a collaboration of Bucks County Opportunity Council, Philabundance, Rolling Harvest Food Rescue and St. Mary Medical Center, with generous funding by United Way of Bucks County.
