Important Notice:

The Thursday, June 24 Bucks County Board of Elections meeting has been CANCELLED and RESCHEDULED for Thursday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. on the 1st Floor in Room 112 at Bucks County Administration Building, 55 East Court St., Doylestown. To facilitate contemporaneous public access to this meeting, the meeting will be streamed live on the Bucks County Board of Elections Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Government-Organization/Bucks-County-Board-of-Elections-113005443431869/.  Members of the public will not need a Facebook account to view the meeting live.  A recording of the meeting will be posted on the Board of Elections Facebook page shortly after the meeting.

The Administration Building is now open to the public, who are welcome to attend the meeting. No one fully vaccinated against COVID-19 needs to wear a mask in the Administration Building. Non-vaccinated or partially vaccinated people must continue to wear a face covering. Public comment will no longer be accepted via the public comment email address. Therefore, Bucks County residents who wish to make public comment must do so in person.

Services & Responsibilities

The Board of Elections Office:

  • Prepares and furnishes all material used at elections
  • Receives petitions for placement of candidates on the primary ballot
  • Registers new voters
  • Maintains voter registration files, including name, address and political party changes
  • Processes and mails absentee ballots
  • Instructs election officials
  • Prepares and delivers all voting machines in 304 voting districts
  • Receives the returns of all primaries and elections from each precinct, and canvasses, computes and certifies results
  • Responds to daily questions and requests over the counter and via telephone
