Recording Fee Calculator

Please use the link below to access the fee calculators for deeds, mortgages, mortgage satisfactions, and power of attorneys. This system has been provided to us by PRODA, which is the Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association.

To receive the most accurate fees please read the following instructions:

  1. Make sure to select whichever county you need the recording fees for, such as Bucks County.
  2. There are 4 document choices: Deed, Mortgage, Mortgage Satisfaction, or Power of Attorney.
  3. Base fees are for up to 4 pages, 4 names, and 1 tax parcel number, the calculators will adjust for extras input correctly – see the Fee Schedule for all base fees.
  4. Special notes for deeds:
    1. If a deed being filed is using a PA Department of Revenue Statement of Value form – The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds does not count this form as a fee page.
      1. Example: Deed is a total of 5 pages, with the fifth page being the PA Department of Revenue Statement of Value form. When entering the number of pages, only input 4 pages for the correct recording fee.
      2. Please also note that deeds are not the only document to use a PA Department of Revenue Statement of Value form. When recording any other document with this form, it would still not be counted as a fee page.
    2. For a deed with a full transfer tax exemption (no matter what the consideration on the document), enter zero (0) into the Consideration Amount/Fair Market Value box.
    3. When a deed has a partial transfer tax exemption, enter the amount that transfer tax is being based upon into the Consideration Amount/Fair Market Value box.

For an explanation of the above fees, please review our Fee Schedule Page. The calculations above do not include additional charges, such as for certified copies. To confirm your calculation, call the Recorder of Deeds office at 215-348-6209
