Code Blue

Code blue will be called whenever the temperature goes below 20 degrees, but may also be called with higher temperatures based on consideration of wind chill, precipitation, or other circumstances. A code blue may be called for a single night's duration in the event of extreme cold or other situation creating a public health risk.

Please visit the AHTN website for information on shelter locations and Code Blue Declarations. Shelters open when temperatures hit 26 degrees or below, including wind chills; opening is dependent on having enough volunteers. Doors open at 9 pm and stay open through the night only.

Coalition to Shelter & Support the Homeless (CSSH)

Shelters open when temperatures hit 26 degrees or below, including wind chills; opening is dependent on having enough volunteers. Doors open at 7 pm and stay open through the night only. Transportation is available. The driving route is posted on the CSSH website.
