Veterans Affairs

Department of Veterans Affairs

The people of Bucks County are grateful for the many sacrifices each veteran has willingly made in the service of our country and for the cause of freedom throughout the world.

As a symbol of their appreciation, the Bucks County Board of Commissioners extend the services and benefits of the Department of Veterans Affairs to those veterans and their dependents.

Effective October 30, 2018, Military Reservists and National Guard members also are eligible for a Bucks County Veteran Discount Card. Any member who applied in the past is encouraged to re-apply.

American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. is an organization of Mothers whose sons and daughters served and died while on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, or died as a result of such service, or were missing in action.

The Department of Defense makes distinctions in determining which of the Gold Star Pins are awarded based on the manner and place of death but we do not. All served and all undertook the associated risks.

We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever, forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes.

We have over 6,000 members from over 200 Chapters throughout the nation.
