Wednesday, April 26, 2023
This is a one day course.
Bucks County Emergency Services will be co-hosting a National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) Course with the University of Hawaii and PEMA. This in-person offering will apply evacuation strategies and best practices to create and evaluate evacuation plans. Recognize evacuation needs during disasters and threat characteristics of different hazards. Assess the need for an evacuation in different communities. Walk through the evacuation planning process and transportation considerations in evacuation planning. Evaluate the evacuation decision-making process through case studies and discussion. Evacuations can be ordered at any time for many types of disaster. The larger the scale of the evacuation, the more complex it is to plan as well as to execute.
