The Bucks County Prison Oversight Board is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Bucks County Correctional Facility and all alternative housing facilities, overseeing the health and safekeeping of inmates, and confirming the Commissioners' selection of the warden.
The Bucks County Prison Oversight Board was established in 2002 and consists of the three Bucks County Commissioners, Controller, District Attorney, Public Defender, Sheriff, Chief Probation Officer, President Judge and three citizen members. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month, in the Bucks County Administration Building at 1:30 pm. Items discussed include the Controller's report, the Director's report, reports from subcommittees and other matters that may come before the board.
