A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) resource center for Bucks County residents and businesses affected by the remnants of Hurricane Ida will open today in the Warwick Square shopping center.
The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will open from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 24, and again from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday in the former Giant grocery store, 2395 York Road, Jamison. The resource center will share space with a county-run COVID-19 vaccination clinic.
Next week, the DRC will operate from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday at the same location. Planning for additional sites in the Upper and Lower ends of the county is ongoing.

The DRC is being conducted by FEMA in partnership with the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available to assist homeowners, renters, and business owners in applying for federal aid.
FEMA and SBA staff will be ready to provide information about the types of federal help available. Additional agencies and services will be present once the DRC reaches full operational capability next week.
The federal government so far has sent more than $1 million in aid to Bucks County residents since Sept. 10, when President Joseph R. Biden issued a Major Disaster Declaration in response to the widespread damage from the early-September storm.
