Suicide Prevention Task Force is Walking to Save Lives in Perkasie

Hold on you matter walk

The Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force invites the public to participate in its walk for suicide prevention and awareness.

Join neighbors, family and friends 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Upper Bucks Campus of Bucks County Community College, 1 Hillendale Road, Perkasie, for the annual “Hold On You Matter Walk to Make a Difference!”

“The Walk to Make a Difference is one of the most important ways to support suicide prevention in Bucks County,” said Kyle Esposito, Task Force Coordinator.

This event is the Task Force’s first opportunity since the pandemic began to bring the community together.

The goal is to reduce stigma, increase the number of residents seeking assistance, support those who have lost loved ones to suicide and support initiatives to decrease suicides throughout Bucks County.

“With the rapidly changing, unbelievable times in which we live, it becomes more important to hold on to the events we find most meaningful, and to remind ourselves how far we have come,” Esposito said. “That is why it is time to say, ‘We Held On!’”

To preregister for the event, or to get involved in spreading the word, become a volunteer or a sponsor, visit HoldOnYouMatter.com. For more information contact our team at [email protected] or contact Kyle Esposito, Task Force Coordinator at [email protected], (267) 904-7655.

The Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force formed in 2013 as a diverse membership organization which includes professionals in private and public practice for mental health, clergy, educators, survivors, funeral directors, medical professionals and emergency responders.
