A Bristol Township man will spend 25 to 50 years in prison for the repeated sexual assault of a boy during a 12-year period from 1995 to 2007.
David Charles Hofmann, 62, was found guilty in December on charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 13 years old, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than 16 years old, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Hofmann was sentenced on Monday, April 25, 2022, by Common Pleas Judge Brian T. McGuffin. He was also deemed a sexually violent predator by the state’s Sex Offender Assessment Board.
The victim testified before the sentencing, saying Hofmann destroyed his childhood and affected his life in every capacity.
